The Hut | University of Arizona Graduation Lifestyle Session | The Hut Tucson + Old Main

Not every graduation session belongs in front of Old Main in a white dress. Sometimes you want to celebrate the way UA grads actually celebrate in your favorite Arizona tee, at your favorite Tucson bar, sharing a fishbowl with the people who made the last four years worth it. That is exactly what this group had in mind, and the photos from this session are some of the most fun I have shot all year.

This University of Arizona graduation lifestyle session was shot across two locations: The Hut bar in Tucson and the Old Main fountain. One bar, one campus landmark, one crew of UA Class of 2026 graduates who love their school and love Tucson in equal measure. The Modelo sign, the giant stone Hut head, the wood-paneled booth, and a fishbowl the size of a small bucket. Then over to Old Main for the fountain shots in UA gear. Both locations delivered.

We started outside The Hut with the group in front of the iconic stone head and the Modelo x Arizona Athletics signage. Arizona tees, white jeans, big smiles, and a backdrop that every UA grad recognizes immediately. The Hut is a Tucson institution and having a graduation shoot here felt exactly right for a group that clearly spent time here over the last four years.

Inside The Hut, five of them squeezed around a round wooden table in a cozy booth, all sharing one enormous fishbowl drink through straws, Green Flash and Sierra Nevada signs on the wood-paneled wall behind them. That shot is pure Tucson bar energy and I would not change a single thing about it. It is exactly the kind of image that will come up in someone’s memories in five years and immediately bring the whole night back.

Then we made our way over to Old Main to close out the session at the fountain. Six of them on the fountain ledge in their UA and Tucson gear, palm trees and the pink Old Main building in the background, completely relaxed after a great shoot. The contrast between bar vibes and campus landmark is the whole point, and it worked perfectly.

To everyone in this group: this is the graduation session I want to see more of. Celebrate the places that made your Tucson experience what it was. Bear Down, Wildcats. Class of 2026.
