USC has one of the most visually rich campuses in the country. The combination of classic Romanesque architecture, the weight of the university’s history, and the energy of the Trojan community creates a portrait setting that is genuinely unlike anywhere else in Los Angeles. I love shooting here.
I shoot USC graduation sessions during both fall and spring semesters. The campus has more visual variety than most people expect, and the Trojan pride that comes through in every session makes the work feel special.
Where We Shoot at USC
Bovard Administration Building is the most photographed building on USC’s campus and the defining image of the university. The grand arched entrance, the tower, and the surrounding plaza create portraits with an unmistakable sense of prestige and history. This is the first stop on every USC session.
Tommy Trojan is a must for every USC session. The bronze Trojan warrior statue is the ultimate symbol of USC pride and no graduation gallery is complete without it.
Alumni Park offers beautiful open green space with the Bovard Building as a backdrop, giving us room to move and work with natural light away from the busiest areas of campus.
Doheny Memorial Library is one of the most beautiful buildings on campus with stunning Italian Romanesque architecture and a grand entrance that photographs brilliantly in any light.
Heritage Hall is perfect for athletes or graduates who want to lean into USC’s legendary sports history and the pride that comes with it.
Exposition Park and the Natural History Museum are directly adjacent to campus and offer additional architectural and natural backdrops for graduates who want to extend their session beyond the main campus area.
When to Book Your USC Graduation Session
USC graduation sessions are available fall and spring. Reach out at least 4 to 6 weeks before your graduation date to secure your spot. Spring ceremony dates — typically in May — fill the fastest. December graduation sessions also book quickly once ceremony dates are announced.

Sessions are relaxed, fully guided, and built around you. We move through 2 to 4 locations and I handle all posing so you feel confident and comfortable in every frame. A sneak peek lands in your inbox that same evening. Galleries are delivered within one week through a private online gallery.
What to Wear for USC Graduation Photos
USC’s warm brick and Romanesque architecture looks stunning against cardinal red, navy, deep green, and earth tones. Most graduates do 2 to 3 personal outfits plus the full USC regalia. I send a detailed prep guide before every session.

Bovard is the most iconic and essential stop — but Tommy Trojan, Alumni Park, and Doheny Library all produce gallery-worthy portraits that feel distinct from each other. A full session at USC gives you real architectural variety, not just one backdrop.
Can I shoot at USC and also do a beach session?
Yes. USC is about 30 minutes from Santa Monica and about 20 minutes from Manhattan Beach. Both are excellent add-on options for graduates who want campus architecture and the Southern California coast in the same gallery.
How long is a USC graduation session?
Campus-only sessions run about 1 to 1.5 hours. With an off-campus add-on, plan for 2 to 3 hours total depending on location and travel.
How much does a USC graduation session cost?
